Parent Survey for the 2021–2022 School Year

The purpose of this survey is to determine how many parents desire full-day, in-person classes or online (virtual) classes for the 2021–2022 school year. We will use responses for planning purposes. We will send a parent survey out to all FESD parents during the week of May 3, which will allow parents to make a final decision about the preferred learning platform for their child. We ask that parents complete one survey per child enrolled in FESD.

Please note the following:

  • Monday, August 2, 2021 - First day of classes for all students (in-person and online)
  • Online (Virtual) Classes - Online (virtual) classes will be through the FESD Virtual Academy. Students will attend classes completely online, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Early release is on Thursdays at 1:15 p.m.
  • In-Person Classes - In-person classes will involve enrolling your child at their respective site, based on district boundaries.
    • Elementary schools will hold classes all day, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with early release on Thursdays at 1:15 p.m.
    • Fowler Elementary will hold classes Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with early release on Thursdays at 12:45 p.m.
    • Middle schools will hold classes Monday through Friday, from 8:40 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with early release on Thursdays at 2:15 p.m.

We will continue to limit transportation services for all in-person classes due to social distancing and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. We encourage parents to continue transporting their own children.

Any student attending in-person classes must follow the recommendations made by the CDC regarding wearing a mask, social distancing, and washing hands. These recommendations are guidelines in the school district’s mitigation plan. We will communicate any changes to current HealthyVerify guidelines prior to the first day of classes and post those changes on our district and school websites.

Parents must sign and submit a Fowler Elementary School District COVID-19 parental acknowledgment and disclosure document prior to their child attending in-person classes for the 2021–2022 school year. Principals will forward this document to parents.

As a reminder, we require you to complete one survey per child. Thank you!
